Wincanton
Job: Design for Print and Online Newsletter
Description: This was an internal newsletter to go company wide at Wincanton, a European leader in the design and delivery of advanced supply chain solutions. It had to bring news and important company information to life and not be a dull, corporate newsletter that would not inspire anybody to read it. I also created an email version of the newsletter so people could access it electronically.
PC World Business
Job: Remote I.T. Management Service
Description: We had to convince small businesses to put their faith in PCWB new Remote I.T. Management Service, a product that the customer can’t hold, touch or see; it only exists on the Internet. We wanted it to be tangible, friendly and approachable. We called it Colin. I art directed the photo shoot where Colin is the virtual I.T. guy, the recognisable face of PCWB technical support services. He’s a bit of a computer nerd, but you can trust him to get the job done. And he did – in PC World’s catalogues, in their stores and in their national press advertising. He even got to work as part of their website, with his very own offshoot site.
Halifax
Job: Long Term Savings Magazine
Description: The pieces here are Long Term Savings magazines sent to a financially savvy audience and cover savings and lifestyle topics whilst upselling other savings products available from Halifax. Money Map was aimed at a younger audience whilst Taking Stock was targeted at an older market. This meant that we could relate articles and products more effectively to the customers needs and lifestyle.
Jeans for Genes
Job: Advertising Campaign for High-Gloss Fashion Magazines
Description: Jeans for Genes is a charity devoted to helping children with genetic disorders. After creating a suite of direct communications to help the charity stand out from bigger charities, Jeans for Genes wanted to place an advert in the likes of Vogue and Tatler to promote their newly designed T-shirt in. Oxfam were already successfully doing this, so with the backing of Kelly Osbourne, I designed an advert that was minimalist and clean that wouldn’t look out of place in the high fashion magazines and used Kelly in a prominent manner, with a shot that was engaging and powerful.
